    LITTLE KNOWN GAMBLING FACTS
     
           Depend is a brand of undergarments for those with incontinence, but
    in 2014 they began targeting the casino crowd. The “Player’s
    Advantage” line comes in a package prominently showing a royal
    flush.
     
                Although dice games preceded the Romans, the Romans were the

    $13,000 a year spend 9% of their income on lottery tickets.

    can get in poker, but the odds of getting one are 649,739 to 1.
     
                A Canadian gambler named Brian Zembic won a $100,000 bet in
    1996 that he’d get breast implants and keep them for a year. As of
    2022, he still has the boobs!
     
           Nevada still holds the top spot as the US state with the most casinos,
    at 334. Oklahoma is number two with 134 casinos.
     
           Hawaii is listed on some websites as having two casinos. These two
    casinos are on cruise ships and although they leave Hawaii, gambling
    is only allowed in international waters.
     
                The Maya of Central America often made their prisoners play the
    deadly “ballgame.” While the participants were playing for their lives,
    the nobles watching often placed bets.
     
           Gambling is illegal in most of China. The government does run two
    lotteries – the welfare lottery and the sports lottery – and casinos are
    still open in the once Western ruled cities of Hong Kong and Macau.
     
                The French card game baccarat was the favorite of the fictional
    character James Bond in the novels and early films. Baccarat was
    replaced by Texas hold’em as Bond’s game in the 2006 film, Casino
    Royal.
