Moth­er Night by Kurt Von­negut tells the sto­ry of Howard W. Nar­rat­ed from his prison cell in 1961, Camp­bell reflects on his role in the war, grap­pling with his iden­ti­ty and the blurred lines between truth and decep­tion. Von­negut’s dark­ly com­ic, thought-pro­vok­ing nov­el explores themes of moral­i­ty, guilt, and the com­plex­i­ty of human choic­es, all while ques­tion­ing the nature of good and evil in a world torn apart by con­flict.
